Grizzlies Play Basketball And Join Football League


The Rockaway Grizzlies semi pro football team recently held a charity basketball game at M.S. 198. The Grizzlies defeated the New York City Hustlers in a hard fought game but everyone from the players to the fans had a fun time. The Grizzlies also announced that they have just been chosen to play in the Garden State Football League for the 2003 season. Anyone interested in joining the team, tryouts will be held at Beach Channel High School on March 29 at 11 a.m. For more information, contact GM Jennifer Blair at 718-216-0852.
