Assembly-
woman Audrey I. Pheffer and Jonathan Gaska, District Manager of Community Board 14, both members of the Kiwanis Club of the Rockaway Peninsula, presented a check to Barry Domfort, a music teacher at Beach Channel High School, to help defray the school band's expenses.

This group of talented students has provided music for a wide array of events, including the Kiwanian's Halloween Parade in Rockaway and Howard Beach. They have also performed at many community events, such as the Memorial Day Parade and a welcoming ceremony for former President Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton at the Airport.
