Weiner Earns Kudos From Park Group
Representative Anthony has received the National Parks Conservation Association’s "Friend of the National Parks" award for his work in Congress over the past two years. According to the NPCA, Weiner has one of the top voting records when it comes to protecting our precious and historic natural resources.
After every session of Congress, the NPCA rates Members based on their votes on legislation having an impact on the nation’s protected and historic federal lands. To receive a "Friend of the National Parks" award, a Member must have voted to safeguard and preserve these sites at least 65% of the time.
This year, Rep. Weiner, whose district includes Gateway National Park, the nation’s largest urban national park, received one of the highest ratings in Congress.
"I am blessed to represent a district that includes Gateway National Park, one of the crown jewel’s of the national park system," said Rep. Weiner. "Fighting to preserve our glorious open spaces will continue to be a top priority."
