PHC Talks Coronary Stents


Sheila Schwartz (left) and Anne Levine (right), Presidium of the Peninsula Hospital Center Auxiliary, welcomed Narendra K. Hadpawat, MD, Director of Medicine at PHC and Cardiologist to an auxiliary luncheon meeting where he discussed coronary stents. "A coronary stent is used to keep good blood flow through the arteries after the opening of a blocked artery," said Dr. Hadpawat.  "They are especially essential when dealing with patients with Diabetes." The next Auxiliary meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 4 at noon in the Meditation Room.  It will feature a discussion on the proper techniques of CPR.  All interested parties are welcome to attend each luncheon and encouraged to join the Auxiliary.
