Sirota Participates In Foreign Study Program

Sarah Sirota, daughter of Howard & Rachell Sirota from Belle Harbor, traveled to London to study Drama as part of the College’s Foreign Study Program during the Winter 2003 term. She is a Dartmouth College student in the class of 2004.

Dartmouth’s off-campus programs are designed to expand the college’s curriculum into new areas of academic and cultural understanding. Through these programs, students are given the chance to study a particular topic in depth. Dartmouth’s off-campus offerings include 44 programs in 17 countries and the United States. Approximately 65 percent of Dartmouth undergraduates take advantage of the college’s foreign study opportunities.

Foreign study programs are particularly appropriate to the Dartmouth Plan, a distinctive four-term, year-round system academic calendar, which provides unprecedented flexibility in individual study patterns.

Dartmouth, the ninth oldest college in the nation, was founded in 1769. Noted as a highly competitive college, Dartmouth has a total enrollment of 4,200 undergraduates and over 1,000 graduate students in engineering, business and medicine.
