Erin On The Rox

The Blizzard of 2003 dropped over a foot of snow as promised. There hasn’t been a storm like this since the Blizzard of 96. The snow was so deep that it was piled up to the doors trapping people indoors. The snow did not stop all day long so shoveling felt like a futile attempt. The parking lot was an adventure to walk to with none of the paths really shoveled. The entire lot was buried in snow, so even if you got your car uncovered you had no way to drive out. Even vehicles with four-wheel drive were skidding. By Tuesday, when the snowfall stopped everyone started to dig out from under this blanket of snow and of course all the kids were out in it. It is a kids dream. The snow is really pretty and considering most kids are off from school this week they will be very busy playing in the snow.

The Roxbury Store officially reopened its doors last Sunday to an appreciative community. It’s amazing how different it looks inside; they did a really good job. Also it’s being said that The Roxbury Barn is supposed to be opening in April just in time for the start of the summer.

Enjoy the snow and stay safe, and if you have anything you want me to announce just let me know – eroxcolumn@yahoo.com.
