Statistics Tell The Story

Statistics Tell The Story

Dear Editor;

G-man, I may be wrong but the sentence you used " It will be the same situation as the Vietnam War all over again, and most of the people that will die in the front line will be people of color."

Now, I may have my facts wrong as they are government statistics, but, in Vietnam it appears that 15% of the 58,000+ troops that died in Vietnam were what you call "minority".  As the percentage of Afro-Americans in the US at that time was roughly 10-12%, I can understand that death was not proportionately divided. You, it appears, like to fan the flames.  Well fan this G-man.  It is a democrat that is trying to push a bill through that will initiate the draft not some rich Republican.  We have an all-volunteer armed force that will stand up for our rights and liberties.  Nobody is telling anyone to step up to the front lines, for no reason.  Please stop being an Afro-American and start becoming an American.  First Amendment rights are there for you because Americans died to give you these rights.  Try to use them wisely.
