A shooting inside a second floor apartment at 7400 Shore Front Parkway last Thursday led to a major drug bust in an eleventh floor apartment in the same building several hours later.

According to police sources at the 100 Precinct, the incident began at about 1:30 p.m. with a call of two men shot in the building.

The first police officers from the 100 Precinct responding found Stanley Jetter, 31, shot in a second floor apartment. They put out a call for a "Black male wearing all black clothing with his hair in dreadlocks fleeing westbound on Rockaway Beach Boulevard."

Jetter was taken to Jamaica Hospital by an EMS ambulance. He was listed as "critical but stable" by hospital officials.

A Level I mobilization was called and police dogs and NYPD helicopters searched the area for the shooters.

Detectives from the 100 Squad quickly developed information that indicated that drugs were being sold from an eleventh floor apartment in the building and that Jetter was the alleged dealer who lived in that apartment.

The Queens Narcotics unit was called in by the 100 Squad and a warrant was obtained for the apartment based on the information developed by the squad.

Police say that they found a "large quantity of Cocaine inside a safe in the apartment, as well as a quantity of cash and a weapon.

The police have not yet been able to speak to Jetter about the shooting because of his condition and the two men who allegedly shot him were "in the wind," according to police sources.
