Following A Tough Act

One of the two baby Harbor Seals that washed up on the beach at Fort Tilden last Wednesday is snared by a net wielded by animal rescue workers from The Riverhead Foundation. This is the second time in as many weeks that foundation workers responded to Rockaway for a marine rescue. The last time they came, it was for a four-ton whale that had to be euthanized on the beach. The two seals, however, were taken by workers to Riverhead and are reported doing well in their new home. One of the two baby Harbor Seals that washed up on the beach at Fort Tilden last Wednesday is snared by a net wielded by animal rescue workers from The Riverhead Foundation.
