Lawrence Woodmere Academy Awarded Grant

Lawrence Woodmere Academy has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the prestigious Edward E. Ford Foundation. The grant will be used for the upcoming addition to the school.

The Edward E. Ford Foundation, based in Washington, D.C., was established in 1957 with the major objective of improving the quality of secondary schooling, focusing exclusively on independent education.

Lawrence Woodmere Academy, located in Woodmere, is the South Shore of Long Island’s only independent co-educational college preparatory day school for pre-school through twelfth grade students. Known for is outstanding educational programs, students develop fully their unique potential in both classroom and non-classroom pursuits.
