Schools Join Drug Free Zone Program

Schools Join Drug Free Zone Program

Two schools in school district 27 have elected to become Drug Free Zones.

Middle School 180 in Rockaway and Middle School 137 in Ozone Park received their set of four signs declaring each school to be in a Drug Free Zone.

The Second Kings Masonic District makes the signs available to any school wanting to join the program. The New York Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons run this program on a statewide basis.

The signs were delivered to each of the schools by John Lawless, a local attorney, who is also the chairman of the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program for the Second Kings Masonic District.

Any public or private school wishing to receive the Drug Free Zone Signs should contact Mr. Lawless at his daytime number (718) 843-7584.
