Junior Rangers Meet January 11

Junior Rangers Meet January 11

On Saturday, January 11 at 1 p.m., the National Park Service will be sponsoring a children’s program at historic Floyd Bennett Field.

Children ages 7 – 12, accompanied by an adult, are invited to explore the history and aerodynamics of flight, from kites to jets, at this significant site and learn about the National Park Service’s role in preserving aviation history.

The highlight will be hands-on paper airplane and kite making. All materials will be provided.

The program will take place at the Ryan Visitor Center, the building that once housed the historic airport’s terminal and control tower.

This program is free but reservations are requested. For reservations, directions and more information, call (718) 338-3799.
