I read with interest "The website details Rockaway subway history", and found some factorial errors.
Ms. Davenington apparently hasn't visited the Rockaway Park branch recently. If she did, she would note improved lighting at the three elevated stations.
Because of extended "A" express service in Brooklyn seven days; the summer weekend shuttle to Euclid Avenue is discontinued. Instead, longer trains are operated on the shuttle with conductors.
She also could have noted that rush hour express in Brooklyn was expanded to most of the day in 1988 and on weekends almost five years ago.
Also of note, the Rockaway Park shuttle was one of the first One Person Train Operation started in September 1996.
