Marian E. Connor Diorio
General Manager

Marian Elizabeth Connor Diorio, born in Queens, was a long time resident of Breezy Point. She passed away on June 1, 2002.

Marian worked as a general manager at Sagebrush Restaurant and attended St. Thomas More Church.

She is survived by her husband James Diorio; father Joseph Connor; mother Marian Connor; daughter Brittany Diorio; sons Grant and Travis Diorio; brothers Dave, Frank, James and Robert Connor; sister Rita Truex; father-in-law James Diorio Sr.; mother-in-law Marlene Diorio; her special pet dog, Oreo Diorio; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will take place at the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home on June 7, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.

Interment will be held under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. on June 8, 2002 at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Daniel A. O'Dwyer
Bartender, Doorman

Daniel A. O' Dwyer, born in Killorglin County, Kerry, Ireland, was a long time resident of the Rockaway community. He passed away in Ireland, where he resided for the last six months, on May 24, 2002 at the age of 74.

Daniel was an owner of the Bantry Bay in Far Rockaway and bartended in several bars over the years. He also worked as a doorman in Manhattan for 32 B and J.

He is survived by his son Gerald O'Dwyer; daughters Mary Beth and Suzanne O'Dwyer; grandchild Frankie O'Dwyer; sisters Delia and Mary Margaret; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Interment services were held in Killorglin County, Kerry, Ireland.

Florence C. Szymanski
Beloved Wife

Florence C. Szymanski, a former resident of Rockaway Beach and Tampa, Florida, passed away on June 4, 2002 at the age of 74.

She is survived by her husband William Szymanski; sons Gary J. Szymanski and William C. Szymanski; daughters Charlotte E. Swietzer and Victoria L. Holmes; 1 brother, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be held under the direction of Gonzalez Funeral Home in Tampa, Florida.
