Gifts Needed For Three Kings Party

The Daniel M. O'Connell, Post 272, American Legion, will be holding an annual "Three Kings Party,' on Sunday, January 5, 2003 for the Disabled Veterans of both St. Albans' Medical Rehab Centers.

Plans call for a sit-down dinner for around sixty disabled men and women plus their attendants and bus drivers. Shut-ins have a most difficult time throughout the holiday season. Parties like "The Three Kings" helps them get through with a little hope.

At this late date Post 272 is experiencing a shortage of gifts, and they are appealing to the readers of The Wave to bail them out as the readership has done so gracefully in the past twenty-two years.

Presents, such as gloves, undergarments, socks, sweaters, etc. (male or female) do not have to be wrapped. Such items can be dropped of at The Post at 301 Beach 92 St. in Rockaway Beach.

You can call 474-9303 and leave a message for pick-up, or contact Eddie Hazel, Chairman, at 634-6642.

If you wish to send a check, please make it payable to "Veterans Canteen Service."
