Just Ignore Them G-man

Just Ignore Them G-man

Dear Editor;

I was raised on the "west side" of the Rockaway Peninsula and I am quite aware of the separations of the black and white populations in Rockaway. Although I no longer live in NY, this situation echoes in the neighborhoods that I currently reside in.

I happen to love "The G-Man's" articles! Keep fighting! As for the criticism that he has received: it is not worth responding to. In this country, everyone has the right to say what he or she feel is correct. The G-Man has his words, and others have theirs. Whenever someone states an opinion, there will always be someone else to rebuke it. I believe this is what makes life interesting. I would hate to see a world where all held one opinion.

I do have to agree with one point that Anthony Shannon has stated; the use of proper numbers and statistics is extremely important. Too many newspapers of today give false information. The Wave is a wonderful resource for all Rockawayites (no matter where they may be); false numbers used to support points will only reduce this paper to a popular tabloid.

A FORMER (AND CONCERNED) ROCKAWAYITE
