Cleanup Performed By Sanders & Youth Council

Councilman James Sanders Jr., in cooperation with the Carlton Manor Youth Council, braved strong winds and bitter cold on Saturday, November 22 to conduct a community cleanup on Beach Channel Drive from Beach 69 to Beach 72 St.

"The event was part of an ongoing effort to work with residents and community-based organizations in improving our community," said Councilman Sanders.

"The Carlton Manor Youth Council consists of twenty-eight members," said Vernell Robinson, Carlton Manor Resident Council President. "Before any youth member is allowed to participate in a community service activity of this nature they must attend four education workshops."

The Carlton Manor Youth Council Members participating in the community cleanup were Verdessa McPhaul, Shantell Cook, Marie Harris, Markell Lindsay, Jonathan Crosby, Joshua Crosby, Antwan Jack and Dashell Cook.

"I’d like to thank the Carlton Manor Youth Council for the service that they have rendered to our community. Their effort is a tribute to all of us," said Councilman Sanders.
