The Little North Pole Lights Up On December 7

The Little North Pole Lights Up On December 7

There will be special appearances by Santa Claus and many of your favorite characters at The Little North Pole on Saturday, December 7 at 6 p.m. sharp.

Besides the special performances by students from St. Francis de Sales and P.S. 114, there will be free food, drinks and toys for all at 144-03 Neponsit Avenue in Neponsit Beach.

The Little North Pole is sponsored by the Brooklyn/Queens Branch of the New York Chapter of The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation International and The Diabetes Research Foundation.

Juvenile diabetes is a disease that affects millions of children. A person with diabetes is two to four times more likely to suffer from a heart attack or stroke. It is the leading cause of adult blindness, kidney failure, nerve damage and non-traumatic amputation. A child with diabetes is forced to inject themselves two, three and sometimes up to four times a day.

Joseph Mure, Jr. is the President of the Brooklyn/Queens Branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The Mure family requests that residents join them as they light up "The Little North Pole" for Juvenile Diabetes.
