FDNY Rock B-Ball Team Wins At Los Angeles

The FDNY Brooklyn basketball squad kept their undefeated streak intact in Los Angeles, California with a convincing win against the L.A. County Police Department. The Brooklyn Fire Department won 103-84 before a raucous crowd, which was rooting hard for the visiting New Yorkers.

Coach Kevin "Flat Head" Coursey remains unbeaten at the helm. (shades of a young Phil Jackson) Co-MVPs Wil "Beaver" Downey and Mike "Pocket Styles" Kuhens paced the scoring with 27 and 30 points respectively.

Other Rockaway residents: Keith "Keef" Long and Tommy Riches orchestrated the fast break to perfection. John "Jumbo" Miller pulled in 23 boards. Greg "New Hampshire " Hearn tried his long prowess on the defensive end for the first time. Tommy "Rook" Murphy was a late night social advantage as he was last seen battling a giant purple pimp.

Rounding out the squad is Louie "Old Reliable" Brennan and Brendan Connelly.

The team placed their undefeated record up against the NYPD All-Stars at St. Patrick’s in Bay Ridge on November 9. To be continued. Bottoms Up and Calm Down. Go Bravest.
