Rolfe’s Good Stretch Brings Back Respectability

"Guess who's back; Back again"

Last weekend was a good one for white boys from the hard streets. Eminem's movie "8 Mile" opened to a $54.5 million box office, while Rolfe went 9-5, bringing his record for the season to over .500. But things won't be so easy this weekend- Shady has to battle Harry Potter's latest on the big screen, and the Handsome One will face off against the evil Vegas lines' setters once again.

Redskins (+3.5) over GIANTS- G-Men WRs are dropping like flys, which is never good when going against two of the best DBs in the league; Champ Bailey and the vastly underrated Fred SMOOT.

Jets (-3) over LIONS- In most seasons, this would be a game where Gang Green would choke. But now with Chad at the helm, look for the Jets to blow out the banged-up L's.

Packers (-6.5) over VIKINGS- Giant fans got to see up close how bad Minny is this season. A QB controversy certainly won't help them against the latest "best team in the NFL;" a title which has been passed around this year more than a funny cigarette at a Cypress Hill/Snoop Dogg show.

Saints (+3) over FALCONS- Hotlanta beat the Aints back on Oct. 20; now A. Brooks turns the tables on Cousin Mike.

Browns (-3.5) over BENGALS- Ugliest game of the week, and not just because of both teams' awful uniforms.

Cowboys (+6.5) over COLTS- Dallas has lost its last two road games, 9-6 and 9-7. A 9-8 final here will cover.

CHIEFS (-3.5) over Bills- This has 70+ combined points written all over it. Go with the Sunshine Band to get down tonight. (And cover)

Ravens (+4.5) over DOLPHINS- Baltimore still has a good enough D to stop Ricky Williams, without whom the Mammals have no offense. Miami's collapse continues.

EAGLES (-11.5) over Cardinals- Philly got spanked last Sunday; what better team to take out their frustrations on than Zona? Jake Plummer still the QB for the Cards.

Steelers (-3) over TITANS- AFC North leading Pitt (5-3-1) faces off vs AFC South leading Tenn. (5-4) Gotta love the NFL parity.

BUCS (-8.5) over Panthers- After starting out 3-0, Carolina (3-6) is "Free Fallin'."

49ers (-2.5) over CHARGERS- Junior Seau, put down the Tom Petty CD!!!

Broncos (-4.5) over SEAHAWKS- Denver came off last MNF beating with a big win over the Bolts. Look for similar results this time against a worse team.

Jaguars (-6) over TEXANS- Getting a chance to give less than a TD to an expansion team? As Ah-nold says, "Do it!!!!"

Patriots (+3) over RAIDERS- Look for the old trend of going against the team that wins the Monday before. Besides, who has more of a crush on Pretty Boy Tom Brady- teenage girls or NFL refs?

RAMS (NL) over Bears- This game is full of questions. Who is starting at QB for either team? Will Faulk play? When are Ben and J.Lo tying the knot? Will Gwenyth and Puff Diddy/P. Daddy sit together at the "ex-" table? Will she pass him the Courvoisier? Can the Rams still make the playoffs?  In this case, go with the home team, whose backups should be enough to defeat Chicago's starters anyway.

(Home Team in CAPS)

OTHER NEWS- The highly regarded "Other News" section is on hiatus this week, but will return in the Wave's Nov. 22 issue. Rolfe apologizes to both of his loyal readers.
