Is there any rhyme or reason to the NFL anymore? A 2-5 Jet squad coming off an awful choke job the week before blows the 6-1 Chargers out of the water. The Raiders go 4-0, are talked about as a Super Bowl contender, then go and lose their next 4. The Rams start off 0-5 and are down to their third-string QB, then go and win 3 straight, and are considered playoff contenders again. Does this league make any sense?

Luckily for Wave readers, Rolfe is here to try to clear some things up. After going 6-6-2 last week, here are Week 10's winners:

Giants (-1.5) over VIKINGS- This is the same Viking team that got smacked around by the Jets less than a month ago. Meanwhile, G-Men looked OK last Sunday night, with Fassel calling the plays. Funny how the threat of unemployment can bring out the best in some people.

JETS (+1) over Dolphins- Are Jet fans just setting themselves up for more heartbreak, believing in the Green again? Maybe, but it's a chance Rolfe is willing to take as Chad and the boyz get a shot for revenge against the Mammals.

EAGLES (-8) over Colts- McNabb and company survived a mini-scare last week. Meanwhile Indy is completely lost without Edgerrin James.

RAVENS (-5.5) over Bengals- Cincy got their "guaranteed" win last week. Now they'll go back to being the anemic team we all know and love... to bet against.

PACKERS (-10) over Lions- Line is a little heavy, considering Green Bay's injuries, but Lambeau Field should be too much for Detroit, who could only muster 9 points at home vs Dallas.

Falcons (+5) over STEELERS- Pitt has made a nice run, beating up on their weak AFC North sisters, but Hotlanta looks for real.

Chargers (+6) over RAMS- Bolts are coming off a spanking from Gang Green; while the Ramsies have won three straight to climb back into the playoff picture. So why take S.D.? Because of this- Chargers are 14-3 ATS (against the spread) in their last 17 dome games. The numbers don't lie.

Texans (+10.5) over TITANS- Another line that seems to be an overreaction to last week. Titans aren't good enough to cover this.

Saints (-4) over PANTHERS- Carolina's offense is worse than the Knicks' offense. And Charlie Ward is probably a better QB than anyone the Pant's have, too.

Redskins (+2) over JAGUARS- Homecoming week for Stevie Ball Coach and the 82 ex-Gators on his staff and squad.

Seahawks (+3.5) over CARDS- Gary Myers in the Daily News called Jake Plummer "the most overrated player" in the NFL. I don't want to sell Jason Sehorn short (he's a tremendous slouch) but Myers hit the proverbial nail on the proverbial head.

Patriots (-3.5) over BEARS- I'm throwing my support behind Pretty Boy Tom and the Patsies, mostly because the Bears can't throw the ball.... or run it either.

49ERS (-6) over Chiefs- More fun with numbers- Sunshine Band is 1-7 ATS when they play at NFC teams over the last 2 years.

BRONCOS (-4.5) over Raiders- Last year, Monday Night Football celebrated the 20,000 point scored on its telecasts. This week, the 500th game shown on MNF. And at this pace, it will be Week 2 of next season when Al Michaels makes the 1000th joke that Madden either doesn't get or completely ignores while he goes on another painfully confusing rant.

OTHER NEWS:

-Researchers are still attempting to determine the cause of that Alaskan 7.9 quake last Sunday. Early reports indicate the mass exiting of the Notre Dame bandwagon may have contributed. Stay tuned for further developments...

-Is there a better show on network TV right now than "24"? Short answer: No. That it did not win the Emmy last year is a clear sign that the Emmy voters are a bigger bunch of nitwits than South Floridian voters...

-Speaking of votes, when exactly did New Yorkers get to decide whether or not they want the 2012 Olympic games, and the headaches, traffic jams, tax increases, etc., that go with it?

-More Election News: Tom Osbourne, former head coach at Nebraska, won re-election to the House of Representatives by over 90 percentage points. Apparently Osbourne was not informed that margin of victory no longer factored in the BCS ratings.

-Starting this Friday, Eminem will star in "8 Mile", a story based on the true life struggles of a white kid trying to gain acceptance in the rap world. That kid's name- Vanilla Ice. No truth to the rumors that MC Serch from the group "Third Bass", will also be in movie theatres this weekend, collecting tickets at the door.

BEST BET: Saints
