Last Sunday, the Broad Channel Ponies (11-12 year olds) improved their record to 6-2 with a second half comeback win over the Bethpage Panthers. The team rallied behind a great performance by Joe Parisi, who scored 4 touchdowns in the second half.

Leading the offense, Quarterback Kevin "Bubba" McMahon completed numerous passes to his receivers, John Burke, Mikey Monahan and Joe Parisi. The offensive line of Chris Timmons, Nick Mastros, Terrence Hickey, Phil D’ Agostino and Chris Connors did an outstanding job blocking on extra points to allow John Hanning to score 3 extra points up the middle.

The defense was shut Panthers down in the second half. John Cunnigham, John McCarthy, George Conklin, Jesse McCrae, Stevie Sugden, Seamus Kelly and Richie Martin led the defense. After an outstanding team effort in the second half, the Ponies came from a 6-0 deficit to take the victory, 28-6. Next week, the Ponies travel to West Babylon to take on another tough opponent.
