Redfern Native Makes Sergeant

Rashid Keitt, the son of Gregory and Lisa Keitt of the Redfern Houses, in Far Rockaway, was promoted to Sergeant on October 1, 2002 at Camp Humphreys in Korea. Rashid joined the United States Army in July of 1999, and completed his basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. From there, he went to Fort Huachuca, in Arizona, to do his AIT , Advanced Individual Training. He was stationed at Fort Meade, in Maryland, for two years with the Military Intelligence Battalion. He was transferred to Camp Humphreys in May of 2002, where he will be stationed until next year. Rashid is an Honors graduate of Far Rockaway High School's Class of 1999.
