Rajbir Chopra, MD, Attending Physician in the Department of Medicine, Nephrology Division at Peninsula Hospital Center (PHC) in Far Rockaway, has been named honoree of the 95th Anniversary Ball, to be held on October 26, 2002 at The Sands in Atlantic Beach.
Dr. Chopra has been an attending physician in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology at Peninsula Hospital Center since 1986. He is being honored for the devotion, caring and clinical expertise he gives his patients and for his outstanding service to the hospital center.
Dr. Chopra serves on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and Medical Records Committee at Peninsula Hospital Center.
He graduated from Guru Nanak Dev University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science and then received his M.D. degree in 1984. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, Dr. Chopra completed a fellowship in Nephrology at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Chopra is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Geriatrics. He is a member of the Renal Physicians Association, National Kidney Foundation and the Medical Society of New York.
Dr. Chopra is being honored along with Frank Russo, Jr., Member, Board of Directors and Heino Anto, M.D., Chief of the Division of Nephrology and Associate Director of Medicine.
Dr. Chopra and his wife, Pamilla, live in Hewlett, New York, and have three children.
