JCCRP Plans Move, Expansion

The Jewish Community Council of the Rockaway Peninsula has announced that it has purchased a new building at 1525 Central Avenue, Far Rockaway, on the corner of Foam Place.

"We are moving from 800 sq. ft. to a two story building of 6000 sq. ft. and eagerly anticipate our ability to offer greatly expanded services to you, our community," said Harvey Gordon, the organization’s executive director.

"This expansion will enable us to physically accommodate the growth of our wonderful and caring staff", said Nathaniel D. Feller, JCCRP President. "Most importantly, it will create new opportunities to offer even higher levels of service, build upon and create strategic alliances with other social service organizations and providers in our mission to improve the quality of life for the entire Rockaway peninsula."

According to its spokesperson, the JCCRP is "enormously grateful" to Assemblymember Audrey I. Pheffer for her efforts in making this move possible.
