College Fair Held At Far Rockaway High School

College Fair Held At Far
Rockaway High School

On Thursday, October 3, Far Rockaway High School held their College Fair in the student gymnasium. High School juniors and seniors, as well as their parents, were invited to participate.

A large number of students and their parents were provided with the opportunity to see and talk with a wide variety of colleges, as well as recruiters from the armed forces.

The College Fair not only provides students and their parents with the opportunity to view first hand all the college materials concerning admissions and financial aid, but also to speak with the Admissions representatives of each college.

Mr. Richard McAuley, the College Fair Coordinator, encouraged all of the students to participate and to have their questions ready regarding admissions criteria, cost, etc. The College Fair was a rewarding experience for all who attended and will benefit students and parents when the time comes to fill out those college applications.

Some of the colleges that participated were Audrey Cohen College, Berkeley College, College of Aeronautics, Cornell University, all of the CUNY schools, all of the SUNY schools, C.W. Post, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Global Business Institute, Hofstra University, Katherine Gibbs College, LeMoyne College, LIU, Manhattan College, Marist College, Molloy College, Middleburg College, Niagara University, Pace University, Quinnipiac University, St. John's University, St. Francis College, Wagner College, and Southern University.
