PAL Starts Girls High School
Flag Football League
By Greg Carter

For the first time ever in New York City, young ladies will have the opportunity to play flag football. Police Officer Fred Brooks, Queens Supervisor of the PAL is ecstatic over the potential that will come about regarding the young women and starting New York City's first ever football league with and through the high schools.

The community should also be grateful to the people at Take The Field, who permit us to play on their tremendous facilities. Also, I would like to excess sincere thanks to all of the high school administrators that have assisted in our efforts. It has been a true partnership.

Special thanks goes out to Luis Espinoza of Take The Field. Any high school that is interested in starting a Girls Flag Football team, please feel free to contact Coach Carter at 868-4939. Games are every Saturday at 2 p.m. at Far Rockaway High School.
