Donations Needed For
Thanksgiving Day Dinner

Beach Channel High School is currently planning their annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner. This is the fourth year that this worthy intergenerational extravaganza is being offered.

The students serve a full turkey dinner to nursing home residents and Senior citizens who would otherwise be alone or in an institution. The student volunteers also accompany the seniors on the dance floor while the BCHS Band, Chorus, Gospel Choir and DJ perform.

The school is expecting a crowd of 300, as the Thanksgiving Day Dinner has grown steadily each year. Guests are invited from local nursing homes and others are welcome on a first come first serve basis.

As usual the school will need the public's help for this event. The number of guests that can be accommodated will depend on the amount of donations.

Any donations of the following would be most appreciated: turkeys, stuffing, gravy, canned yams & vegetables, potatoes, butter, milk, bread, cider, soda, water, pies and general paper and party goods.

If you would like to make a monetary donation instead, please make your check payable to BCHS Thanksgiving Dinner and mail it to the attention of Sheila Murray, Coordinator of Student Affairs. The mailing address to Beach Channel High School is 100-00 Beach Channel Drive, Rockaway Park, NY 11694.
