Loves Home Schooling

Dear Editor;

Home Schooling is just like real school, only it's just me and my Mom, one on one. When people ask me "What school do you go to?" I say "I'm home schooled" then they say "Wow you're lucky" and "how many hours of school do you do?" and the one that's asked most "Do you have any friends?" and things like that. Well today is your lucky day because I'll answer all of your questions.

I usually do about 3-4 hours of schoolwork. Don't say wow because I do work quicker than school kids because it's just my Mom and me, as I said before "one on one" not 30 other kids and a teacher. You know I do work even when I finish my textbooks. I learn about sports, like karate, at the World Champion Karate Center, (Which is great, so do join!). I do dance at Mrs. Tommie's in Broad Channel. Of course I have friends that's like asking do you have teeth! I meet people at karate, Becky, Marissa, etc, I have friends down the block Pat, Mickey, Kieran, Erin, Mary, and then at Dance Jade, Katie, Nicole, and I have home school friends Amanda, Alison, and my family which is counted as friends, my brother Tom is the best boy in the world we do almost everything together, (although he's younger than me).

Some of my workbooks are: History and Geography - by Alpha Omega Publications. Italian, 10 minutes a day - by Bilingual Books Inc. Math - by Saxon Math, and I get books from P.S. 114.

So, I really am learning fifth grade things like my friends at school. But I also have time for things that interest me like knitting, skateboarding, and the computer.
