Comprehensive Website

State Senator Malcolm A. Smith has announced that constituents and businesses in his district can now obtain the most up-to-date information on New York's elected officials and government offices at the state and local levels by visiting a new website: www.usalocalg.com.

"The address, usalocalg is short for 'USA Local Government,' and in just a few clicks you can learn how to contact practically any official in the state," Senator Smith said, adding that this website is especially useful for businesses.

The Queens lawmaker noted that if, for example, a business wanted to send information on the new product to every town and village historian in New York State, that business would learn that there are 784 different towns and villages that have historians.

"At minimum, you will see the official's name, address and phone number. Fax numbers and e-mail addresses may also be listed. The database is growing on a daily basis, which means even more information will be included on the dozens of cities and counties, and the hundreds of towns and villages within New York State," Senator Smith concluded.
