A Beacon of Hope

A new monthly publication, World News Forum, is a product of the tumultuous political year that the world has experienced. The military clashes in Kashmir, the imbroglio that has enveloped the Middle East, the global war on terror, and the rise of secessionism in every corner of the world, demanded a different kind of literary response.

Deeply moved by these developments, Glenville Ashby, a Rockaway resident committed himself to the publication of this monthly journal that's a beacon of hope in times of discord. Ashby is a former orthodox priest and educator who has also served in the Armed Forces of the United States.

With its goal of promoting cultural awareness and conflict resolution, World News Forum works closely with Permanent Missions to the United Nations, and was immediately endorsed by the UN Library. Included in its distinguished list of subscribers are the Israel, Pakistan and Cyprus Permanent Missions to the UN.

World News Forum has attracted a consortium of talented and resourceful writers, all of who are knowledgeable in the fields of politics, international relations and sociology. As such, the magazine offers an insightful, balanced, and lucid review of today's conflicts irrespective of their geographic location or their geopolitical relevance.

Indeed, World News Forum offers a political platform through which all groups can be heard. In addition to its political spirit, World News Forum also features articles on Society and Ethics and Global Investing.

World News Forum is currently planning a series of public lectures and conferences at the Park South Hotel, and schools throughout New York City.
