Why Delay Briarwood?

Why Delay Briarwood?

I am writing to you about a story you were going to write about the Briarwood Development in Arverne. I have been eagerly anticipating living in Arverne and I have placed a down payment on a house. However, the project is being delayed because of an environmental impact study.

As I understand it, there is another development, Arverne by the Sea, which is much larger than Briarwood that is being built now on empty lots.

The Briarwood Development is planned for blocks that have houses already built on them. My house will be built on 60 Street corner, about 100 yards away from existing homes. Clearly, the larger development, Arverne by the Sea, will have a much greater environmental impact than a few houses constructed on land that previously had homes. Moreover, they have started construction, which is unfair.

I fail to see why Briarwood needs to be delayed.

If you could find out why there is a delay in building my dream home, please find out. I plan to take care of the elderly, frail parents in this home, and I am anxious that a delay could mean that my parents never see this home.
