On The Beach… With Beverly Baxter
This column is dedicated to the local victims of the 911 attacks on the World Trade Center and to their families who continue to mourn their loss. With respect to this most solemn infamous event, this column will be kept short and succinct.
Words are inadequate to express the unfathomable and excruciating pain that many feel. As per the Governor's request, church bells across the state will ring at the exact moment the planes hit and the towers fell. Pataki also asked that schools and other public institutions be made available as a venue for those who wish to gather and seek comfort. Whether you attend mass or shul, or mark these moments in privacy and solitude, we will remember...and never forget.
