Returns From Afghanistan

Army Pfc. Margarito T. Lopez, son of Marilyn L. Ramirez of Far Rockaway, has returned to the U.S. from Afghanistan, where the soldier had been deployed to support the mission of Operation Enduring Freedom. The returning soldiers are assigned to the 626th Forward Support Battalion and various other units at Fort Campbell, Clarksville, Kentucky.

Enduring Freedom is the official name given to the biggest U.S. military mobilization since the Gulf War in 1991. Members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces have been deployed and reserve components activated to support the war against global terrorism, combating the international terrorist network or regime forces outside the United States.

Lopez is assigned to the 259th Field Service Company at Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
