The Multi-Cultural Family Festival will be held this Saturday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival, a collaboration of many community groups, businesses and organizations, will feature all types of fun-filled activities for children and adults. In addition to the different activities that will be offered, there will be plenty of musicians and bands on hand.

Positive Entertainment, featuring ‘Team SPUD", will be providing music, ranging from hip-hop to reggae, and other forms of entertainment. SPUD (pictured left with the Chair of the Multi-Cultural Family Festival, Isaac Parsee) is a long time resident of the Rockaway community. He has performed at many community events, including the National Night Out Against Crime (which he has done for the last 8 years) and the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation’s Annual Street Fair.

"I’m about community. I do what I do because I believe in this community, and it’s important to show that we can have fun and come together without any negative situations developing."

SPUD and Positive Entertainment have become well known throughout the Rockaways because of their tireless efforts in community service.
