Raymond R. Corrigan
Retired FDNY Lieutenant

Raymond R. Corrigan, a long time member of the Rockaway community, died on August 8, 2002.

Raymond was a retired Lieutenant with the New York City Fire Department, and was a former U.S. Customs Officer. He belonged to the American Legion Post 272, the 6th Armored Division Association, and the Fire Officer's Association.

He is survived by his wife, Angelina (nee Intrabartolo); children, Raymond, Jr., Eileen Olstrom, and Matthew and Kathleen Abrams; sister, Adelaide Fisher; and nine grandchildren.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. was held at Calverton National Cemetery.

Lillian M. Curtin
Formerly of Breezy Point

Lillian M. Curtin, a former long time resident of Breezy Point, passed away on August 13, 2002.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Loving; and brother, George.

She is survived by her children, Marybeth McManus, Edward, Danny, Timmy and Nancy Levins; grandchildren, Katie, Kerry, Jack, Eddie, Christine, Monica, and Patrick; brother, John; and many other loving relatives.

Visitation will be held at the McManus Funeral Home, 4601 Avenue N (corner of E. 46 Street, Brooklyn) on August 16, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Interment under the direction of the McManus Funeral Home will be held at the Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph - 1749 Brentwood Road, Brentwood, New York.

Margaret Donnelly
Retired Bank Officer

Margaret Donnelly, born in Glasgow, Scotland was a 7-year resident of Rockaway Beach who passed away on August 12, 2002.

Margaret worshipped at St. Rose of Lima Church, and was a retired bank officer with Banco Central of New York. She was also a treasurer of the St. Rose Women's Club, and an active member of the Hammels Senior Center.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Russell.

She is survived by her husband, William Donnelly; daughters, Anne Marie Buchler and Patricia Christensen; son, Stephen Donnelly; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Anne Honan
Loved By Many

Anne Honan, born in Ardee, Co. Louth, Ireland, died on August 10, 2002.

Before moving to Goshen, New York eight years ago, she resided in Floral Park and Rockaway Park. She was retired from Saks Fifth Avenue in Garden City, and The Doctor's Answering Service in Floral Park.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Honan; parents, Bridget and James Durrigan; three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her son, Michael Honan and his wife Frances; daughter, Barbara Nealon and her husband Richard; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Interment was held at St. Charles Cemetery in Long Island.

Garland Hunter, Jr.
Productions Worker

Garland Hunter, Jr., born in Selma, Alabama, was a 16-year resident of Arverne who died on August 11, 2002.

Garland was employed as a productions worker for an automatic bedding company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Garland Hunter, Sr. and Willie Dell Hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia (nee Robinson) Hunter; daughter, Audrey Hunter; son, Christopher Hunter; sister, Carlean Smiley; brothers, Melvin and Sammie; and 3 grandchildren.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. was held at Shiloh Cemetery.

Barbara Levine, M.D.
Peninsula Hospital Center
(Internist)

Barbara Levine, M.D., born in New York City, was a long time resident of the Rockaway community who passed away on August 9, 2002 at the age of 63.

Barbara had a private practice for over 20 years on Beach 121 Street, and worked as an Internist and Attending Physician at Peninsula Hospital Center since 1982.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Levine, and brother, Bernard Reimer, M.D.

Henry A. Miller, Sr.
Firefighter-FDNY

Henry A. Miller, Sr., born in Brooklyn, was a 27-year resident of Rockaway Park who passed away on August 11, 2002.

Henry worshipped at St. Rose of Lima Church and was a retired firefighter with Engine #308 (1973). He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.

He is preceded in death by his son, Henry Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice (nee Heller) Miller; son, Wayne Miller and wife Lois; daughters Corinne Warnock and husband Bernie, and Janice Testagrose and husband Mike; grandchildren, Barbara Fay and Brian, Jerry Warnock and Clarke, Jonathan and Steven Miller; great-grandchildren, Dan, Andrew and Rose Fay, and Matthew and William Warnock.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. was held at St. Johns Cemetery.

George J. Mullaly
Retired NYPD Detective

George J. Mullaly, a long time resident of Rockaway, died on August 12, 2002.

George was a retired detective with the New York City Police Department's Brooklyn North Homicide Division.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Madelyn Mullaly.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Lyons); children, Carol and Robert Lamont, George and Maria Mullaly, Patricia and Patrick Timlin, Maureen and Joseph Franca, and Kathleen and Kenneth Sonner; grandchildren, Katherine Lamont, Patrick and Matthew Timlin, Brendan and Carol Anne Franca, and Aine Mullaly; and sisters, Carlyn Yerden and Jane Nicolini; and other loving relatives, Anne and Paul Glanzman, Margaret and James Borland, and Anthony Nicolini and Raymond Yerden.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. was held at St. Charles Cemetery.

William J. Wiese
Broad Channel Resident

William J. Wiese, born in New York City, was a life long resident of Broad Channel who passed away on August 9, 2002 at the age of 79.

William attended public school in Rockaway Beach, and later became a Sanitation Engineer. He served a tour of duty in the United States Army and earned a Purple Heart after being wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. He was discharged in December of 1945. Later, he served at St. Virgilius Church as a Eucharistic Minister from 1987 to 1998. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and a Past Officer of the Broad Channel Athletic Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Loretta Trainer Wiese.

He is survived by his children, William J., Thomas J. and Michael J. Wiese; and six grandchildren.

Interment under the direction of the Hillebrand Funeral Home was held at Calverton National Cemetery.
