Last weekend, Wave Columnist Gary G. Toms ("The G-man") was an invited guest at the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. The event, which was held in Miami, Florida (South Beach), featured an array of celebrities from the music industry: such as The Isley Brothers, Ja-Rule, Jay Z, Ludacris, Alicia Keyes, Lil' Romeo, Queen Latifah, Stephanie Mills, Usher, The Neptunes and Faith Evans. New York's own WBLS radio gossip queen Wendy Williams hosted the ceremony. J.D. Williams and Williams' manager, Kenneth Wright, invited G-man to the event, as the three have a long-standing friendship. William is a former star of the acclaimed HBO series "OZ", and he is currently starring as "Bodie" on the network's latest smash hit "The Wire."
