St. John's Episcopal Hospital
Janet Talcott, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for St. John's Episcopal Hospital South Shore, was a devoted and loved employee for the past three years. Janet worked on many projects while at St. John's, such as the annual Chrysanthemum Balls, the invitational Golf Tournaments and, most recently, the grand opening of the newly renovated 10th floor.
Raised in Ohio, Janet was the mother of two, a son and a daughter. She was an accomplished Graphic Artist who took tremendous pride in her work. She succumbed Wednesday, July 24, 2002 after a lengthy illness and was flown back to Ohio for interment.
Patrick Bhola, born in Brooklyn, passed away on July 8, 2002.
He is survived by his parents, Alba and Shirley Bhola; sisters, Vanessa Jenkins and Nina Bhola; brothers, Randy and Kenroy; and other loving family members.
Interment under the direction of Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, Inc. took place at Forest Park Cemetery in Morganville, New Jersey.
Health Care Administrator
Emily Franz, of Rockaway Park, died on July 25, 2002.
Emily worked as an administrator in the health care industry.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and brother, Alexander Petraites.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony and James Franz; daughter, Josephine Pinto; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, Inc. was held at St. Raymond's Cemetery.
Steven F. Giunta
Steven F. Giunta, a 23-year resident of Rockaway Point, coming from Brooklyn, passed away on July 28, 2002.
Steven worshipped at St. Thomas More Church and was employed as a teacher with the New York City Board of Education. He also was a past member of the Rockaway Point Volunteer Ambulance Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Delia (nee Kwiatkowski) Giunta; and uncle, Frank Zabarauskas and wife Terry.
Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc. was held at Calvary Cemetery.
George M.A. Hill
George M.A. Hill, a resident of Arverne for the last 7 years, coming from New York City, died in July 24, 2002.
George worshipped at St. Camillus Church and was employed as a construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Velez Hill; mother, Inez Hill; sons, Darius and Michael Hil; daughter, Tashawn Hill; brothers, Robert and Salvatore Moscatiello; stepfather, Carmen; and two grandchildren.

Anie Mae Holder
Anie Mae Holder, born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, died on July 25, 2002.
Anie was a long time resident of the Far Rockaway community who was heavily involved with the church and many church organizations.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marie Jamison.
She is survived by her five sons; two daughters; sisters, Rosella, Mariah and Laura Mae; five sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; 115 grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Interment under the direction of Lawrence Funeral Chapel was held at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Hicksville, New York.

Susie Massey, a long time member of the Far Rockaway community, died on July 23, 2002 at the age of 86.
She is survived by many family members and dear friend, Selissia Edwards.

Clarence E. Pullar
Clarence Emmanuel Pullar, a long time resident of Rockaway, coming from Jamaica, West Indies, passed away on July 25, 2002.
Clarence spent most of his life working as a farmer. He was a Treasurer and Elder at the Alexandria Church in Jamaica, West Indies.
He is preceded in death by his son, Aubrey; and his wife, Irene.
He is survived by his children, Inez Smith, Dorrell Dressekie, Derven Pullar, Josephine Smith, Delphina Harvey, Eulin Kuranga, Delsadie Callins, Daphne Samuels, Lucille Pullar and Audrey Simmonds; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Robert L. Rose, Jr.
Parking Lot Attendant
Robert L. Rose, Jr., born in Pinehurst, North Carolina died on July 20, 2002.
Robert spent many years working as a parking lot attendant.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie D. Moore; children, Saforna Rose, Marvio Rose, Jackie Rose, Melvin Rose, and Barbara Rock; stepchildren, Constance Harris, Gregory Moore, Evandas Cheeseborough, Rachel Brown and Michael Cheeseborough; and a host of other family members.
Interment under the direction of Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, Inc, was held at Ewing Cemetery in New Jersey.
Mary Wagner, a former long time resident of Beach 117 Street, passed away on July 15, 2002.
She is survived by her two children, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
