The Inner Voice by Marilyn Gelfand

The Inner Voice by Marilyn Gelfand

When someone needs to understand a lesson, the information may be given by God/Universe in a variety of ways. A message may be dreamed about and then a television show that someone just happened to watch may display some of the same information. We can rest easy knowing that if we need an answer, it will come at the right universal timing. A friend may hand us a magazine article or tell a story about someone she knows, but in any case, the answer will be given sometimes on different occasions. Often what we learn in a counseling, for example, may be lived out in the experiences of life afterwards. The important point to remember is that an answer will be given.

When I watch squirrels jump from one high tree to another, the animals need no thought in the process. The animals do what comes naturally. We must learn to live a more natural way. By not forcing everything to be the way I want it to be and letting go of my expectations, I can more freely walk or run as the situation presents itself. It is easier to live in the present moment, in the unknown, if you have faith that what is happening will be for my good. I have to respond in a manner, which is calm and thoughtful rather than impulsive. I want to go slow and steady rather than have to make mistakes, which I must then correct.

We learn to live from the inside of our faith and balance, rather than worry about who is watching or judging us. In this way we can be flexible enough to allow the timing to be the appropriate one for my growth experience. We can be detached more from our thoughts and emotions so that what we initially thought were obstacles become an obstacle course, which in turn becomes challenges and finally opportunities for growth. It is all how much we can step back from ourselves and view life through our own inner vision.
