Street Fair Returns To Far Rockaway

Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation (RDRC) is sponsoring the Second Annual Far Rockaway Street Fair, which will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2002 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Beach 20 Street, between Mott Avenue and Cornaga Avenue.

The street fair is designed to promote Far Rockaway as a place to shop and assist Far Rockaway's merchants in selling excess inventory. This will in turn build a larger customer base and stimulate the local economy.

Merchants are encouraged to bring their merchandise onto the sidewalk and have some "sale items" available to the public. Tables will also be available to health services providers, the 101st police precinct, local organizations and other community based programs.

If you are not located in the immediate area of the street fair and would like to reserve space for your business, or if you have any questions/suggestions, please do not hesitate to call either Jule Grant, Doug Woodall, Kayiesha Golds or Jeffrey Delerme at RDRC, (718) 327-5300. Your participation, suggestions and assistance are always appreciated by the RDRC.

Please be advised that a portion of Beach 20 Street will be closed to traffic that day.
