Dot on Roxbury by Dotty Taphouse

On Saturday July 6th the Mayors Committee of Roxbury held a "Beer Bash".  It was an open house for everyone honoring the past Mayors of Roxbury.  The past Mayors were all given watches and shirts from the Club.  Bill McDonald was presented with a shirt for being one of the original members.  Jim Clifford was also honored as the oldest living member at 94 years young.  Jim received a standing ovation and had everyone join him singing his original campaign song.

Danny McMahon was also honored with a shirt for all his hard work in the Club and never running for Mayor.

Eugene Clifford and Daddy McMahon, along with their crew, hosted the Gala Party with free drinks, food and
a DJ for dancing.  Another great time at the Mayor's Committee.

Kerri Hedges, granddaughter of Betty Glennon of Rockaway Point, celebrated her birthday with family and friends on July 6th with a delicious cake made by Patti-Cakes of Roxbury.

Love, Dot!
