Hoping The Madness Will End

Hoping The Madness Will End

Dear Editor;

I do not intend to start off as an alarmist, but according to the media, President Bush and Vice President Cheney warn the public that killer terrorists are on their way to the United States of America to strike again รข013 when and where are not known.

Coming back to reality, I am presently staring at the daily newspapers that tell me all. I am also gulping down my daily quantity of medication that my doctors assure me that I will become healthier and extend my life-line. We cannot walk frontward and constantly look backwards. Then again, it is also upwards as the sky must be monitored.

We are dealing with madness, those who have no regard for human life and at the same time sacrifice their own. The state of the world is frightening. It seems that peaceful co-existence cannot be bought at any price.

You can say, "what you don't know doesn't hurt," but "what you do does." There are places to go, things to do, and families to watch grow. I hope and pray that there will be a turn-about for the better, and life will go on.

MILDRED SCHULMAN
