Just Rambling!

Just Rambling!

Dear Editor;

It was one of those dreary, dull blustery weekends with the threat of rain.There were things that should be done, but I shrugged them away. What to do? "Nothing," I said as I relaxed in my easy chair facing the window, which faced the ocean. The turbulent waters angrily thrashed the rocks, which rigidly remained intact. What do you do when you want to do nothing? "I'll think! I'll think of this, that and the other and share my rambling thoughts with you."

Did you ever realize if there's anything a public servant hates to do â013 it's something for the public? So what if you're a nobody who has accomplished something as opposed to a somebody who has accomplished nothing. These are same characters when running for office unopposed in an election would still lose.

Have you run into those who consider themselves an expert, but know more and more about less and less? When we went to school we were told that anybody could become President of the United States. Now I'm beginning to believe it.

Years ago the famous comedy star W. C. Fields said, "I'm free of all prejudice, I hate everyone equally." I had a friend who worked like hell in the country to live in the city. When in the city he worked like hell to go back and live in the country.

Remember, don't take life too seriously, because you'll never get out of it alive.

Okay, okay, so I rambled on and on. The news on the radio covering the weather announced that tomorrow it will be nice and sunny.

Another thought â013 when an idea enters an empty head it has the time of its life.

Have a nice day.

MILDRED SCHULMAN
