Reading, Writing and Pimping

Reading, Writing and Pimping

While attending a recent town hall meeting hosted by Council member James Sanders Jr., a parent stood up to proclaim that her child was the victim of alleged prostitution at a local grade school. The woman, angry and on the verge of tears, spoke about how the Board of Education, schools and administrators are not taking the matter seriously. "They want to act like nothing is wrong and sweep it under the rug. They are wrong! What is happening in these schools is disgusting, and I will no longer subject my child to it. Someone is going to answer for allowing this to happen to her," she said. From what little information we could gather, it seems that young boys are collecting money from other boys for sex with girls in the schools, and a portion of the money is then given to the girl who provided the "service." We have made every effort to allow this parent to come forward and tell her story. Hopefully, she will. Until then, if you are aware of similar claims by parents, or know of children that have been affected by such actions, please contact us. Bringing it out into the open is the first step in eradicating this sick practice.
