‘Remembering’ At Fort Tilden

The Rockaway Artists Alliance (RAA), in partnership with Gateway National Recreation Area (GNRA), is hosting Remembering from April 6 through April 28 at sTudio 7 Gallery in Fort Tilden. This is an exhibition of painting, photography, sculpture and poetry dedicated to remembering the losses of our recent past and reflecting on our future.

The opening reception will be held on Sunday, April 7 at 1-4 p.m. at sTudio 7. It will include music and readings of the poetry being displayed in the exhibition.

Participating artists include Lt. Kevin Callaghan and Firefighter Michael Redpath of the FDNY, both of whom responded to WTC on September 11. Children’s art will also be displayed.

Come to Rockaway in the spring – a time to remember, reflect and celebrate rebirth.
