‘Little Globe Theater’ Sets Class Schedule

"The Little Globe Theatre," which is housed in the First Congregational Church on Beach 94 Street, has announced a number of theater classes for both adults and children.

For adults (18 years and older), the theatre company will offer two classes – one in basic acting skills and the other in theatrical direction theory.

The basic acting class is open to persons with various acting skill levels. Beginners are urged to register. Session One will be held on Tuesdays, while Session Two will be held on Wednesdays. There are 10 sessions for each group.

"This workshop is designed to supply its participants with basic acting skills applicable to many styles of acting," says Mario Martone, the company’s director.

The theatrical direction workshop will take participants from concept to production. The 10-class workshop will be held on Thursdays.

The cost of the basic acting program is $75. The cost for the directing program will be $250.

The Children’s Repertory Arts Program will deal with such techniques as acting, stagecraft and costumes, creative writing, dance and music.

That program runs Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. until 12 noon from May 11 until June 13 and is free.

Those who want to register for any of the workshops or to get further information may call 634-6393 or access the company by E-mail at thelittleglobe@aol.com
