Garbage Is A Problem

Garbage Is A Problem

Dear Editor;

 There seems to be a problem with some residents on Beach 92nd Street & Rockaway Beach Boulevard. Some of these residents throw their garbage out on the streets all week long. Due to the fact that garbage piles up the block that becomes very unattractive to the eye. I've cleaned that particular block up on a number of occasions. The weather is getting warmer vermin and feral animals will be attracted to this rotting garbage. The animals that are attracted to the rotting garbage unfortunately, sometimes carry disease. The garbage can also attract wild dogs, which have been invading the area.

I don't understand how this problem continues with well known respectable businesses on that block as well as across the street. Rockaway is reinventing it's area. When would-be home buyers come to view the area, I'm more than sure garbage on the curb is not going to be a positive view? Prospective homebuyers come to the Rockaways on a daily basis to view houses. Rockaway Beach is a beautiful place to live and it should continue to be.

GET RID OF THE GARBAGE
