Coffee, Cake And Comedy

Coffee, Cake And Comedy

Coffee, cake and comedy. These are the ingredients in an assortment of theatrical delicacies which will be offered by The Little Globe Theater. They will be served on Thursday, April 18th at 8:00 P.M., and Sunday, April 21st at 2:00 P.M., at The First Congressional Church at 320 Beach 94 Street.

Under the collective title, A Baker’s Dozen, thirteen delicious scenes will be performed by a group of actors whose efforts in an actor’s workshop have evolved into a tasty show. The talent is local ¾ the scenes are universal. They embrace the spectrum of human experience and are played in a variety of theatrical styles, from the sublime to the absurd. You might say, from soup to nuts. We urge you to share in this theatrical feast, which includes coffee and cake. And, we hope that this sampling of our work will encourage some of you to join us for future workshops and productions. Admission is $7.00.

On Saturday, April 20th, 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., The Little Globe Theater will open registration for The Children’s Repertory Arts Program. The 10-week program is designed for children, age 6 to 13, and is free of charge. It will be conducted at The First Congressional Church from May 11th through July 13th. This creative program is designed to introduce children to the various facets of the performing arts. For further information, please call 718/634-6393, extension 22.
