     Breezy Point Firemen fly to France as guests of Air France, French Tourist Board, Convention and Visitors Bureau and Rail Europe and Sofitel Hotels. Yes, Fire Chief Tom and wife, Eileen McDonald, his brother, Fire Chief, Henry and wife, Cathy McDonald of Breezy Point were at the Bon Voyage luncheon at the Sofitel Hotel, in Manhattan last Thursday, given by the above mentioned gracious French donors in appreciation of the great courage and sacrifice displayed by our brave Firemen at the WTC on Sept. 11, that infamous day of terror and horror in New York City.

      A few weeks ago, I received a phone call from a man who praised me for having the "huevos" to write the front-page stories involving the Queens Narcotics Unit. He went on to say that many of his co-workers were also pleased about the articles. What took me totally by surprise was the fact that the man I was speaking to, as well as his co-workers, were members of the NYPD.
