The seventh grade students at P.S. 47 in Broad Channel attended an opening night performance of "Urban Tap" at the Joyce Theater. Students could barely sit still as the instrumental rhythms and dance; a combination of African, Caribbean, and Brazilian art forms rocked the audience.

These tickets were generously donated by HAI (Hospital Audiences Inc.), which has partnered with Princeton University. HAI will be providing live arts and cultural experiences in New York for up to 10,000 New York City area schoolchildren from schools that were most directly affected by the September 11 attacks.

Students at P.S., 47 who attended "The Crucible," on Broadway two weeks ago will be participating in a workshop conducted by a Princeton student.

Schools that are situated in the Rockaway Community can contact HAI at their website at www.hospitalaudiences.org/arts.
